Itinerary

Friday - Registration and Picnic Run

Registration from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm at the “Head Quarters” – Travel Lodge Hobart Airport Motel & BIG4 Cabin and Caravan Park Hobart Airport.

At 11.30 am a “picnic” run will be available for those that would like go for a little drive from “HQ” on the Tasman Highway, over the Tasman Bridge, through the city and past the famous Constitution Dock, along Sandy Bay Road beside the Derwent River and down to Sandy Bay Beach.

Friday night’s traditional “Fish and Chips” night will be a fairly casual evening, held in and around the Flight Deck Restaurant at the “Head Quarters”

Saturday:  Show and Shine and Judging.

Vehicles will start assembling at 8.30 am ready for a 9.00 start.

We will leave “HQ” via the Tasman Highway exit from the Travel Lodge and Tourist Park and turn onto the old section of the “Tasman Highway” where we will travel approximately 1.5ks and turn 180 degrees at the first roundabout and head back towards the “HQ”. This will hopefully provide a photo/video opportunity for everyone with cars heading in the opposite direction.

Once back onto the main Tasman Highway we will again head towards the city and over the Tasman Bridge. As we approach the city a left turn will take us to the Regatta Grounds and Cenotaph where the show and shine will be held.

We are only a five minute walk from the city, a few minutes more to the renowned Constitution dock and a few minutes more to the world famous Salamanca Market and historic Salamanca Place.

Saturday Night

Bus pick up from “HQ” and a very short trip to the Tasmania Golf Club venue where we will enjoy a meal, a fun night and a dress theme starting with any letter from HOLDEN.

Return trip home via bus pick up. There is plenty of onsite parking for those that wish to drive.

Sunday: Country Super Tour and Trophy fun day

Vehicles will assemble at 9.00am ready for a 9.30 am start.

We will leave “HQ” via the Tasman Highway exit from the Quality Hotel and Tourist Park and turn onto the old section of the “Tasman Highway” again, where we will travel approximately 2.5ks and turn right towards the historic town of Richmond. Our little tour will take about an hour and will take us through country Richmond, Tea Tree, Brighton and through to the historic racetrack of Baskerville Raceway for a couple of laps and a great photo shoot. We will also have the first of our interclub championship games.

We will then leave Baskerville and travel towards the Bowen Bridge and over the Derwent River to the foreshore at Rosetta for a scrumptious barbeque prepared by the Glenorchy Lions Club and the completion of interclub Championship games.

Sunday Night Dinner

Bus pick up from “HQ” and a 3 minute or so trip just down the road.

This time to Tasmania Golf Club for a lovely dinner, trophy presentation, silent auction and a night of enjoying the company of some fantastic FE and FC Holden friends.
