Ed Ho owns this rare vehicle, and as you can see, it is in the process of being rebuilt. Not only is it an FE Special Station Sedan, but it was originally painted Castle Grey over Etna Maroon, the only metallic paint scheme offered on FEs and FCs. It will be resprayed in original colours, and most brightwork has been located and obtained. The driveline will be anything but original, with V8, 5 speed and 9 inch diff.
Originally swapped for an LX Torana, the car required extensive rust and damage repair including replacement of outer sills, under floor crossmembers, front floor, transmission tunnel, doors, bonnet, tailgate, rear quarter and guards. The body is progressing almost ready for paint. Ed says he has spent nearly four years so far, and more to come. |
